Beatitudes of Siddhartha 3: Right Speech: Choose to bless with your speech instead of curse

Beatitudes of Siddhartha: 3. Right Speech:

Choose to bless with your speech instead of curse

Choose to praise with your lips instead of gossip.

Choose to guard your words instead of speak without respect.

Choose with your tongue to tell the truth, instead of protect those that would murder women and children

Attitude about our speech is what will give us success in choosing right words for right speech.   Imagine your tongue as soft and gentle instead of full of darkness and it will curtail you from the evils of that it can sometimes put forth.

”When a person is born, they are is born only with a tongue.  The teeth come in gradually.   They are harder and stronger than the tongue.  But as a person grows older, their hard, strong teeth drop off gradually.  Only the tongue—soft and gentle—lasts till the end.”  That which is gentle, lasts. – Confucius –
